
On January 21st, a large delegation immigrant construction workers and their allies flooded the entryway to the Shakopee, MN offices of DR Horton, the largest single-family home developer in the country. Immigration agents have been harassing and detaining non-white construction workers at jobsites around the Twin Cities Metro, and the Construction Workers Committee at Confluence grantee CTUL assembled the delegation of allies from the Building Trades unions and the wider community to call on Horton to take a stand protect these vulnerable workers.
But instead of hearing the workers’ concerns, Horton staff locked the doors and called the police.
